Instant Pot Glazed Carrots

- 4 medium carrots sliced in 1/2 inch slices
- 2 tbsp butter (or vegan butter)
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp water or orange juice
- 1 tsp fresh thyme
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Put 1 cup of water in the bottom of the Instant Pot. Put carrots in a steamer basket or pile on a trivet. Put the lid on the IP, turn the knob to Sealing, and set to High pressure for 2 minutes. For softer carrots, cook for 3 minutes.
When the time is up, do a quick release. When venting is complete, carefully remove the steamer basket and set aside. Dump the water out of the pot and dry it.
Return the liner to the base and turn on the Saute function. Heat the butter. Stir in the brown sugar until it is dissolved. Add the water or orange juice, thyme, salt, and pepper. Cook until it slightly thickens.
Return the carrots to the pot, and mix to coat.
